Paediatric Ward


The ward has a warm and friendly cartoon environment that welcomes all young patients.


We render nursing care to all patients with medical, surgical as well as orthopaedic conditions.


Personal belongings: In general, children find hospitalisation frightening and traumatic. You will notice that they need more attention and reassurance whilst in the hospital. You may find your patience being tried, but remember you are your child's anchor in a strange environment.

What you need to bring with you:

  • For the patient
    Pyjamas, toiletries and toys (at own risk!).

  • For the caretaker / parent
    Suitable pyjamas (eg track suits) during the child's hospitalisation
    Own toiletries

  • Kindly bring your own baby bottles - the unit aims to provide formula milk/ milk/milk-substitutes, No 1+2 ranges and disinfectant facilities for baby bottles.

Visiting Hours

Visiting hours:

Parents and grandparents may visit at any time during the day. Please confirm visitation of under age children with our nursing personnel. Visiting hours for friends and family are as follows:

11:00 to 11:30

15:00 to 16:00

19:15 to 20:00

Due to the possible transmission of infectious diseases, no children under the age of 12 years are allowed !



Our unit has at any time five Paediatricians on standby in case of emergency.

A security door to the ward ensures your child's safety

Parents or caretakers MUST inform the paediatric nursing personnel when leaving the ward with the patient!
